About Me

emma-bradly-counsellor-llandeilo

Hi I’m Emma, a qualified and experienced Integrative counsellor with a focus on person centred and humanistic ways of working.

I work with many different issues, most commonly anxiety, depression, self harm and low self-esteem. I have experience as a grief counsellor from working within the NHS bereavement support service and have worked in the criminal justice sector with individuals with complex mental health issues, drug misuse and offending behaviour.

I believe in the uniqueness of each individual and will treat you with respect and dignity, allowing you the space to sit with and talk through anything you feel is troubling you. I am happy to explore your experiences with you, always at your pace.

My professional knowledge and training and my own life experiences enable me to sit with you even in the most chaotic and darkest of times, without judgement but with curiosity to explore and process life events, thoughts, feelings and emotions.

If you decide to work with me, we will take time to review our progress through the sessions, so that we can build an authentic way of working.

I offer both short-term (6 sessions) and long-term work.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’ve never tried counselling before — what should I expect?

That’s completely normal. In your first session we’ll simply talk about what brought you here and what you’d like to get from counselling. There’s no pressure — it’s a safe, supportive space where you set the pace.

Can I just try one session and see how I feel?

Of course. I offer both short- and long-term counselling, and many people begin with just one session to see if it feels right. If at any point you feel it isn’t the right fit, we can discuss other options or referrals.

Is this suitable for young people / teenagers?

Yes. Alongside my private practice I also work as a school counsellor, so I have specific experience supporting young people. I’m fully trained, insured, and DBS-checked to ensure a safe and professional service. Parents or carers are welcome to contact me first to check it feels like the right fit.
